Wet and Dry Granulation

Wet and dry granulation facilitates the creation of dense, uniform particles from lighter, flightier particles resulting in powdered supplements with less surface area, less dust, less caking, and improved flow, compaction, and compression properties.

Granulated powders are suitable for chewable tablet, capsule, stick pack, sachet, flavor, sweetener, tea bag, confection, food, and personal care applications.


Agglomeration creates light, porous, low-density particles from loose inconsistent particles resulting in powders with improved flow, dispersion, disintegration, mixability, visual appearance, and powder uniformity.

Agglomerated powders are suitable for tablet, capsule, stick pack, sachet, flavor, sweetener, meal replacement, smoothie, tea, coffee, instant soup, and functional beverage applications.

Microencapsulation and Spray Coating

Fluid bed technology enables controlled application and mixing of liquid and dry components by spraying complete or partial coatings or multiple coating layers.

Spray coating is utilized for various operational, performance, and sensory solutions where measured particle consistency is critical to product quality.

Microencapsulation creates a functional barrier between the encapsulated agent and the surrounding
environment providing intentional protection, stability & release of select ingredients & flavors.

Microencapsulated and coated ingredients are suitable for tablet, capsule, chewable, gummy, stick pack, sachet, effervescent, and instantized food, beverage & personal care applications.

Particle Sizing

Uniform particle size and particle size distribution are critical for powder quality & consistency. Leveraging granulation, agglomeration, oscillation, milling, sieving, coating, and adjustable tooling, Vitaquest can increase, decrease, match, and recreate custom powder systems based on customer specifications.

Air Drying

Fluid bed drying enables gentle dehydration of food powders and liquid solutions under controlled conditions, resulting in highly stable powders with specified moisture and water activity levels. Air drying retains the nutritional value, color & native flavor of the material being dried while deterring the growth of bacteria, yeasts, and mold.

Air-dried products are easily rehydrated and suitable for fruit & vegetable powders, hygroscopic powders, probiotic formulations, powder drink mixes, instantized foods and intermediate products.
