FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification
One of my first responsibilities upon joining Vitaquest was to ensure our continued compliance with FSSC 22000, one of the most stringent and globally recognized food safety certifications. Originally obtained in 2019, Vitaquest was among the first nutraceutical manufacturers in North America to achieve this status.
This certification integrates ISO 22000, HACCP principles, and GMP prerequisites under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It reflects our commitment to product safety at every level. Maintaining this certification requires consistent attention to continuous improvement, annual audits, and unwavering support from leadership. Each year, we publicly post our signed food safety policy, not just for compliance—but to reinforce the culture of quality we’ve built here.
NSF Certification (ANSI 455-2 & Certified for Sport)
Another cornerstone of our quality program is NSF certification under ANSI 455-2, a symbol of integrity in our industry. This certification confirms that our manufacturing practices align with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and assures customers that their products are free from contaminants and accurately labeled.
I’ve emphasized the importance of embedding NSF standards across all departments, not just in Quality. Through in-house testing in our cutting-edge Quality Control Lab, we verify the safety and consistency of every product before it leaves our facility.
For our athletes and performance-based clients, we also offer NSF Certified for Sport—a vital credential that ensures supplements are free from banned substances and masking agents.
Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, Kosher, and Halal
Beyond foundational certifications, we also support a wide range of dietary and lifestyle preferences. Our Quality team works closely with customers to ensure eligibility and compliance for:

It’s a powerful endorsement of our systems and reflects our readiness to meet and exceed FDA expectations.
