Putting Quality First
At Vitaquest, we are committed to a thorough quality assurance process to ensure every product that goes to market is safe and effective. It is why we invested in our Enclony Planet 6G-TC Automated Tablet & Capsule Inspection Machine last summer and why we have purchased this new piece of machinery this year.
Before the final quality inspection, every capsule must be cleaned and polished. This ensures there is no leftover residue on the exterior of the capsule from the filling process. Vitaquest has always used machinery to automate polishing and cleaning; however, with technology rapidly advancing, we knew we needed to invest in the latest state-of-the-art equipment to remain industry leaders in capsule manufacturing.
Producing Cleaner Capsules
Our older polishing equipment was bulky, requiring multiple moving parts. When the equipment needed repairs, cleaning, or reassembly, this led to downtime for our employees and slowed time-to-market for our partners. The new polishing machinery enhances efficiency by using a simplified vertical design. This means fewer parts are needed to do the same job, and less space is taken up in our manufacturing area.
Another benefit of this new equipment is its enhanced quality. The brushes used to clean the capsules are two times longer than those used in our older equipment. This extends the amount of time the capsule is exposed to the cleaning surface, resulting in cleaner products.
