Our latest equipment acquisition, the Fitzpatrick Granulator (or ‘Rollie’, as we call it), provides numerous benefits and improvements to our powder manufacturing and tablet compression operations. It keeps quality in mind while also providing unequaled flexibility for a wide variety of products, making it perfectly suited for our diverse customer base.
Whether you’re looking to manufacture your own tablet product or want to produce powder sachets or stick packs, this tool will ensure that the powders containing your active ingredients are uniformly granulated. It increases powder density and produces free-flowing granules, allowing us to manufacture high-quality and consistent products while minimizing deviations and other costly production delays. This new machine doesn’t only enhance our powder and tablet compression operations. Its benefits extend beyond our 100 Jefferson facility. As many of you know, we take sustainability and environmental concerns very seriously. We are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and work tirelessly to do our part in keeping our planet clean for future generations to enjoy. Over the past several years, we’ve reduced our natural gas usage by 23%, have switched 30% of our electricity to renewable resources, and are recycling over 50% of our waste.
But how does new machinery fit into this goal of sustainability? Powder manufacturing and tablet compression can create a lot of dust. However, this roller compactor guarantees less negative environmental impacts by eliminating excessive dust burden during production. It also allows us to reduce the packaging size for our products, helping to minimize the amount of cardboard and other materials needed to fulfill our customers’ orders, keeping more waste out of landfills.
